I'm glad Mr Warren felt obligated to use the name of his Christ in his prayer but still even demons know Christ is Lord and fear him. The fact that Mr. Warren used the name of Christ in his prayer does not take from the fact that he is a Charlatan and uses Him for his own profit. It hasn't been but a few weeks since the latest evidence of this.... Mr. Warren's attendance and participation in a 'one world religion' conference (mentioned without my taking the time to research the exact title) in California sponsored by a Muslim group...this is a conference that is teaching that Allah and Christ, among other religious gods are all the same god only going by different names which is NOT Biblical. Maybe that is why the second portion of the prayer uses descriptions from Christian as well as Muslim to describe "Christ" (Allah). Just the fact that Mr. Warren attended such a conference tells a lot about him but if one were to do some in depth research on Mr Warren and study, in depth, Mr Warren's teachings and his writings, one would be well confident that just because he stood at the inauguration and spoke the name of "Christ" (Biblical Christ, Islamic Allah, or his one size fits all "christ"...are we sure we know WHO he was referencing?? Really???) in no way reveals anything about his true belief system nor confirms his "brazen Christianity".
I applaud your thoughts and were he a proven true believer in the truths of the Bible and teacher of the Biblical Christ and had he "performed" on stage with those evidences of true Christianity to his name, I might be tempted to feel the same but again I point out, even demons know Christ is Lord and tremble at his majesty....for them to mention His name in public is only a publicity stunt, NOT the mark of a truly "gutsy Christian".
Do the false prophets of the last days say as is commonly interpreted.... "I (the false-prophet) am the Christ" meaning they claim to be Christ -or- do they instead come claiming "I (Christ) am the Christ" meaning they are claiming that (their version of) Christ is the Christ but stand behind it with false teachings and belief systems thus leading "mega-churches" full of the mislead to their ultimate demise?
